- 1st Massachusetts Brigade relieved on July 1, 1777 from the Highland’s Department and assigned to the Northern Department.
- Relieved on March 31, 1778 from the 1st Massachusetts Brigade.
- ReOrganized on September 25, 1778 to consist of 9 companies.
- Relieved on June 14, 1779 from the Northern Department and assigned to the Main Continental Army.
- Redesignated on August 1, 1779 as the 7th Massachusetts Regiment.
