Conclusion: American Victory

On April 12, Col. Thomas Cameron, along with a group of 32 Rangers and some Choctaw Indians, were sent to a crossing on the Altamaha River to find the Creek Indians. Maj. Francis Moore discovered the Patriots while they were crossing the river. Moore and the 2nd Georgia Battalion attacked them and drove them back to Savannah. Moore was killed during the fight.
